COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a modality of therapy that incorporates talking treatment that can support adults with a range of issues, including mood disorders, anxiety, and chronic pain.
CBT is based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, and that negative thought patterns can lead to a negative cycle. CBT aims to help people break down problems into smaller parts and change negative patterns to improve their mood.
During our CBT session, I will encourage you to talk about your thoughts and feelings, and may ask you to complete homework activities. We will work together to identify and change any thoughts and beliefs that contribute to your emotional reactions.
